Mission: The mission of the Safety and Risk Management Directorate is to:

• Advise the JMC and Army Sustainment Command (ASC) leadership on all aspects of safety
• Manage the JMC and ASC safety programs
• Provide support to the subordinate Commanders’ safety staffs
• Direct and manage the Army’s Low-Level Radioactive Waste (LLRW) Disposal Program
• Provide Environmental Management services, and assure compliance with regulatory agencies on environmental issues to the JMC
• Manage the JMC Industrial Hygiene program
• Provide Industrial Hygiene support to JMC subordinate Commanders
