COMMANDER’S REPRESENTATIVE
Richard P. Hansen
Richard P. Hansen serves as Scranton Army Ammunition Plant’s Commander’s Representative. He arrived at Scranton on Aug. 3, 2009, from Tobyhanna Army Depot, Pennsylvania, where he was assigned as the Master Production Scheduling Chief within the Production Management Directorate.
Hansen supervised 27 personnel in the scheduling and execution of the depot’s MPS workload. Prior to beginning his Department of the Army civilian career, he served in the United States Navy. Hansen retired from the Navy after 23 years.
Hansen’s Navy career started in March 1984 and he rose through the enlisted ranks, attaining the rank of Chief Petty Officer in 1997. He was subsequently commissioned to the rank of Ensign through the Limited Duty Officer Program in 1998. He retired with the rank of Lieutenant. Hansen’s career took him to many countries around the world where he served in almost every major conflict since 1984.
While in the Navy, Hansen was the recipient of numerous personal commendations and campaign ribbons including the Meritorious Service Medal, four Navy and Marine Corps Commendation medals, and four Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medals.
