LAKE CITY ARMY AMMUNITION PLANT (LCAAP)

INSTALLATION OVERVIEW

The Lake City Ammunition Plant (LCAAP) represents the backbone of America’s small caliber ammunition supply, ensuring our warfighters are equipped with reliable, high-quality munitions to succeed in today’s complex battlefields. At its core, the mission is to provide vigilant contract oversight to produce small caliber ammunition, while expertly managing operations, maintenance, and modernization efforts at the facility. This includes a steadfast commitment to environmental stewardship, ensuring that our national defense remains as responsible as it is resolute. Through the integration of innovative practices and cutting-edge technologies, LCAAP stands ready to meet the evolving demands of multi-domain warfighting, securing readiness today while building resilience for the future.

Beyond production, LCAAP also operates the North American Regional Test Center, a critical hub for ensuring the quality and dependability of munitions destined for our forces. This strategic infrastructure reflects America’s promise to its warfighters: no mission will go unsupported, and no adversary will go unchallenged. By continually enhancing its capabilities, LCAAP not only strengthens our military edge but also upholds the values of efficiency, accountability, and environmental responsibility that define our nation. This work is a powerful testament to the skill and dedication of the men and women who ensure the strength and preparedness of America’s armed forces.
